The Fringe - Hebden Bridge
Hands On Art developed 2 annual festivals of community art and culture. Based on a budget of love, inspiration, determination and a belief that everyone with a bit of support can ‘do it’.
Fringe 2008 involved over 40 events, Fringe 2009 over 70. People with little or lots of experience created exhibitions, workshops, happenings, shows.
Each season had it’s magic moments, like one fellow who had to be cajoled into show a painting in a group show, sold the work within ten minutes, then came back with a dozen more to show.
