Fruit Bowls with Jewel Glazes
These bowls have been slab built and press moulded – a very immediate sculpting technique. Made with terracotta Earthenware, and glazed with four layers of colour. The glaze combinations create the effect of oil in puddles, or the minerals in a mother-of-pearl shell.
Flower Forms
The shapes are inspired by minimal expressions of line.
One edge can describe as much as a flower form. Some of the shapes have been created to lead the hand on a twisted path towards the content of the bowl.
The Flower Bowl crated with a press mold slab form, with additions of double pinch pots and sausages along the edges.
